Back to School Drive 2018

Williamsville Community

The level of support for the children of the Williamsville community have indeed been tremendous. Many businesses have pledged support, the Williamsville Village Counsil, the Councillor for the area Ms Vashti Sookhoo have commended the effort and rendered her support, the MP Rodney Charles office have also pledged support.

It is amazing how working to ensure that children who are in need are able to get the supplies needed to progress for a better future.

As our First Prime Minster said;

You, the children, yours is the great responsibility to educate your parents, teach them to live together in harmony…To your tender and loving hands, the future of the Nation is entrusted. In your innocent hearts, the pride of the Nation is enshrined. On your scholastic development, the salvation of the Nation is dependent…you carry the future of Trinidad and Tobago in your school bags.”

Dr Eric Williams

UPDATE (August 26th 2018)

The Aspiring Minds Back to School Drive team would like to extend a special thank you to the Williamsville Community Counsil for its support and use of the Williamsville Community Center. Mr Issac Ramoutar, Aquarium Restaurant, TSI Gym, Modern Electrical, Auto House, Trade Winds Hotel, WACK Radio, Larry's Shoes and many more who contributed to ensure the success of the drive.

Because of the support we were able to give out 70 complete supplies kits and 63 partial supplies kits. Although our goal of 200 Kits was not achieved we are vary happy with the outcome and the impact that we were able to make in the lives of many children in Williamsville and surrounding villages.
